Crimson Energy Partners (“Crimson” or the “Company”) is a Fort Worth, TX-based, upstream oil & gas company founded in 1998 by former Union Pacific Resources professionals Frank Starr II and Jacob “Tripp” Rivers III. Through the newly-formed investment vehicle Crimson Energy Partners IV, LLC, the Company is seeking to capitalize on the recent correction in oil prices with an acquisition-led approach to finding, developing, and exploiting oil & gas reserves, in conjunction with a complementary organic, lease and drilling plan.

The Company is led by co-founders Frank Starr (President) and Jacob “Tripp” Rivers III (Exec. VP, Geology & Geophysics) who have combined experience of over 60 years and have worked together for over 20 years including their time spent together at Union Pacific Resources. Prior to co-founding Crimson, Mr. Starr enjoyed a 17 year tenure at Union Pacific Resources in various capacities, leaving as a senior engineer. Both Messrs. Starr and Rivers have Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Oklahoma in Petroleum Engineering and Geology, respectively.
